One site became three: CBAM.Pro, CBAM.School and CBAM.Help

The CBAM calculator is no longer on this address, but nothing was retired. We split the work across three sites. It had grown into three different jobs that shared one domain, and none of them was easy to find.

The sections below show where each part went.

The tools are now on CBAM.Pro

Emissions calculations, import data, payables and periodic reporting have moved to CBAM.Pro. CBAM.Pro is the consultancy side. It is the software that an importer or their adviser uses to work out what is owed and to produce the figures behind a declaration.

If you had a login for the tools on this address, your account now lives there.

The courses are on CBAM.School

CBAM.School is the training side. It offers structured courses and certification for people who have to operate CBAM, not just read about it once. It has its own schedule and its own enrolment, so it needed to stop sharing a front page with a calculator.

This address is the publication

What remains here is the publication that you are reading. CBAM.Help now publishes regulatory news and explainers. Each piece covers what changed and whether it reaches you.

Three rules govern what we publish here. They are the reason this site exists separately from the other two:

  • Every article links the regulation, factsheet or study that it rests on. It also says what kind of source that is: law in force, official guidance, or research that only signals direction.
  • Where a rule is still a proposal, the sentence that makes the claim says so. We do not leave that to a disclaimer at the foot of the page.
  • Every figure carries the date and the period that it belongs to. Certificate prices are quarterly, and a number without its quarter is not information.

These rules are not a promise about tone. They describe what the articles do, and you can check this on any of them.

We now cover the UK regime

The other change is scope. The UK mechanism starts on 1 January 2027. The instruments that set it up are being made now: administration rules, the rate method, carbon price reliefcarbon price reliefA reduction of UK CBAM liability for eligible embodied emissions already subject to a qualifying overseas carbon price, capped at the UK liability. and transitional deadlines. Several of them are already law. Several are still drafts that wait for approval or for notices that have not been published.

This is a difficult period to work in. The rules that will bind you exist in pieces, and not all the pieces are final. We tag articles UK or EU, so that you can read only the side that reaches you. Several articles cover both sides where the two regimes interact.

What to do

  • If you only wanted to know where the calculator went, do nothing. It is at CBAM.Pro.
  • If regulation is part of your job, use the weekly email. It covers what moved, whether it reaches you, and what to do about it. That is a different question from what was published, and it is harder to answer on your own.
